I ... actually liked Bright.

I didn't hate it as much as the internet told me I should.

It felt very much like a generic cop movie where some white kid writer search-and-replaced "black" with "orc" and then made the racist-but-not-as-racist-as-his-peers cop black to make it Dramatically Ironic. If I asked you to imagine such a movie, starring Will Smith, I'm pretty sure you would be imagining exactly what happened scene for scene. There was no spark of creativity or insight whatsoever.

But I like cop movies and I like Will Smith, so I didn't feel like I wasted my time watching it.
