Somehow this doesn't square with the wails about "systemic racism," that cheap and unspecified slander of America. For 27 years, this organization has been feeding talent into the business, but only selected categories of people who possess that talent. It's right there on the home page. Excluding certain people because of their race or gender is not the solution. The application process asks you, about eight questions in, to identify your race (and your name at the start identifies your gender). If you can't check the right boxes, you are SOL. That's not progress, that's payback. Better choose another major, YOU people.

So what? The reason that women and minorities have groups and organizations and clubs to help them is because they have always been excluded from the power structure of this country. We have girl scouts because girls were not allowed to be boy scouts. We have women's sports leagues because girls were not allowed to play with the boys. If there is a professional organization whose mission is to help people excluded from things, then white men need to shut the fork up.

From the looks of it, it ain't your gender or skin color that's holding you back, brother.

Actually, Joe Williams has a good point. Ask yourself if the Jews in Nazi Germany had any professional organizations on which they could rely. Of course not. Why? Because Nazi Germany was the epitome of systemic racism. The Nazis not only made sure that Jews were kicked out of professions, but also make sure that they could not unite to form professional organizations.

Somehow, I don't think a nation that allows an organization like the National Association of Black Journalists to exist is as guilty of systemic racism as those on the left wish to believe.

Joe Williams usually posted better than this. Other guy is like something out of 4chan.

And they call me a troll.
