Running 2017-18 NBA regular season thread

And I think fans have been slow to realize that smart teams are operating on the premise that it's an 82-game exhibition season.

I've heard that argument all year from people insisting it is going to be another Warriors-Cavs final.

It's not going to be a Warriors-Cavs final.

Knicks just traded Willy Hernangomez for Johnny O'Bryant.

I find it amusing as heck that the Knicks have Johnny O'Bryant and Kyle O'Quinn on their roster, and both are black.

And they lost by 20, to a team that kicked their asses the last time they played, too.

They've lost three out of their last four and have been blown out in two of those losses.

I mean, I think they're the best team in basketball. I think they'll win the title. I also think they're absolutely beatable, and there are at least three other teams with a shot at the championship.
They are beatable in a single game. Is there a team that can realistically take a series if GS is healthy?

You're half right; they'll win the title, pretty much with the same playoff record as last year.

Didn't we do this dance last year when thenWarriors were "struggling"?

Is O'Bryant any good? Hernangomez is an asset that the Knicks ran into the ground. They don't have very many of them. The 2 worthless picks make me think that this was a very bad deal.
