Worthy of A1? Phil Collins admits he's not doing well

And the more I think about it -- the original list plus maybe Billy Joel (who sucks), Willie Nelson and Stevie Wonder is probably it for men. For women (of that age) -- Streisand, Dolly, Tina Turner, Diana Ross and -- regionally -- Loretta Lynn. If we're going a little younger (say 50-70), then Madonna, Celine Dion, maybe Mariah Carey. Not sure others like Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Patti LaBelle, Anne/Nancy Wilson , Chrissie Hynde or Stevie Nicks get a page one story -- probably a teaser instead.

Loretta Lynn is one of the last living country stars of that era. She would absolutely be A1 news. (also I am almost 36 and have watched Coal Miner's Daughter more times than I can count.)

The three country artists who, imo, are locks for A1: Loretta. Dolly. Willie.

A lot of this is if they are still doing things and in the news. Dolly? Yes. Diana Ross? No.

Hard to think of others.

Was Jerry Garcia A1? That was in the peak of the newspaper era.

John Williams will be page one.
