Worthy of A1? Phil Collins admits he's not doing well

Liza Minnelli, too. But like Midler and Cher, it will be as an entertainer and not solely a singer.

Depending on your format, Phil Collins dying is probably worth a mention of some sort on A1, especially if you have a briefs rail or something of that sort.

The fact he's sick ... nah, probably not.

A1 stories (vs briefs or teaser boxes) for upcoming rock star deaths:

-- Dylan
-- Paul
-- Ringo
-- Mick
-- Keith
-- Bruce
-- Bono
-- Elton

... and that's about it. Actually most of these guys will command pretty substantial A1 packages (depending of course on the circumstances/ shock value of their deaths). The death of the last Beatle (whichever it is) will trigger a tsunami of "end of an era" packages.
Just think if it's Pete Best.

I would think Daltrey or Townshend might also be A1. And maybe Waters or Gilmour. Or Ozzy Osbourne. They're all well-known enough.

I would think Eric Clapton, for sure, and probably Jimmy Page, Brian Wilson and Brian May. Also wouldn't be surprised if Loretta Lynn was front page news, who didn't love "Coal Miners Daughter"?

If you go country, then Willie, Dolly and Loretta are locks imo.

Joni Mitchell? The 50th anniversary of Blue was covered pretty widely.

In Canada Lightfoot, Anne Murray, Geddy/Lifeson, Bachman and maybe Ian Tyson. Neil Young obviously, his contribution is larger than some already named.

Not naming younger people as there are boundaries to my ghoulishness.

Lynn and Wilson probably. Not the others.
