If TMZ hasn't found the baby or mother yet, I'm guessing the child was born outside the US. If I were his wife, I'd be very interested to know if this was a one-night-stand on a tour stop, or a woman he sees every time he's in London (or Sydney, or Toronto).

Not to excuse Dave sticking it elsewhere, but I imagine the last two years after Taylor Hawkins' death have been all sorts of messed up. I was at the first show of their first tour post-Hawkins and it's clear he was still messed up.
