My issue with a walkout is that local guild leadership may be getting members' hopes up.

The walkout occurred. Stunned by how small some of these newsrooms are, especially in Austin, which has a metro of nearly 2.5 million people.

Asked a former co-worker at our local shop about it, and was told, "Nah, we ain't bothering with that shirt. It won't make a difference."

Which I guess is sad, but I salute the self-awareness involved.
