2023 running NBA playoffs thread

Chris Paul's long national nightmare is over.

14th game with a ref who's got something against him, 0 for last 13, wins by 14.

Weirdly enough, Durant was on a seven-game losing streak in the playoffs too. Felt like a bit of a shift at the end of that second quarter, like something clicked and a flip was switched. Booker was unreal in that second half. Suns were just so damn sloppy in the first, couldn't stop turning it over, couldn't get a rebound, were being outplayed and outhustled. They let Westbrook (!) control the game offensively. I admire the heck out of Kawhi but he can't win this series by himself. I have a work thing on Friday that requires a 5:45 a.m. EST wakeup and a 2.5-hour drive so I'm going to have to pass on Thursday's game. Hoping for the best.

An embarrassing performance from the Lakers. Everyone is on their bandwagon and they come out and put up that garbage.

Embiid's probably going to get at least a fine here, but I also feel like there should be a "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" award here.

It's a bench move to step over someone like that. But you can't kick someone in the nuts.

Embiid did that like he was lobbying for the MVP, making his feelings known then pivoting to acting like he was never bothered at all.
