Nationals are on their way to wasting a six-IP, one-hit, 13-K start by Mackenzie Gore. Bohm just hit a two-run double in the 10th for a 5-3 Philly lead.

I am heading out to an Opening Day house party (for the Mariners) and I am wearing a T-shirt of the FIRST PLACE Chicago White Sox!Angels need a position player to pitch to slow the mighty White Sox, who lead 8-0.
Which of those teams is worse?
One of the guys on my trip is a writer from Toronto. We watched together on the bus where ever we were in rural Mississippi, at least until it was 6-0. Nice to see Adley get off to a great start and Eflin to prove his worth as an opening-day starter.O's: Rutschman 2 HR, Mullins 2 HR, O'Neill HR, Westburg HR. 12-2 in the 8th. Day-um.
O'Neill has streaks that make him look like he is headed to the Hall of Fame. He also has streaks during which he resembles a man who is picking up a baseball bat for the first time. Then he gets hurt.Tyler O'Neill didn't have no outage, baby!

It was juicy there for a moment because when Williams can't hit the zone with the airbender, he's really vulnerable and the Brewers know that as well as any team of course. Bottom of the lineup worked him well. Close but no cigar.Get used to Devin Williams, Yankees fans. He gets the job done many more times than not. You'll just be given an ulcer on a good portion of those outings.
Like most closers.

I'm prepared to be patient and kind of cringe a bit as the Brewers make their way through April with Freddy Peralta and a parade of stiffs on the mound until some of the regular starters get healthy.
