They should have come up with a new one on Jan. 15.
If this has been going on all year, it seems like that makes it even more offensive.

I have no idea if it is true or not, but a comment on one of the Twitter posts I saw said that has been his introductory "hand shake" all year long. I guess, foreshadowing. Regardless, not a good look at this point.
Nate Oaks?It was an opportunity for Nate Oaks to show a shred of integrity and the school to wipe away a little of this latest stain on its reputation. One reason not to suspend him or punish him in any other way after the shooting is that would be an acknowledgement that he did something wrong. Once they do that, maybe people point out that it isn't enough.
Now he has been involved in something smaller, but still important. They could suspend him for a game for the pat down, explain that he and everyone involved takes the shooting seriously. Of course, Oaks missed that opportunity, as did Alabama, because they have no interest in doing the right thing.
