Can you save videos from You Tube?

I seem to remember hearing about a program that would allow videos from You Tube to be saved to the hard drive. Given that stuff is being constantly deleted from YT, this would be helpful to have.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on this? Thanks.

I just usually save the web address as one of my favorites, of course, that doesn't help with portability if you wanted to save it to a thumb drive or something

Can't you just right-click on it and do "save target as ... "?

On one of the Springsteen lists I'm on someone posted this question and got this response:
>>> I use: http://keepvid.com/ to capture and
the free .flv player: http://applian.com/flvplayer/?src=KeepvidPlay
to play. >>>

I checked those links and the first program costs some money (unless you go for the free demo with limited recording time).

That doesn't help when the video gets deleted from YouTube, tho.
