Favorite song from a band you know sucks

"Jet Airliner" is the only Steve Miller Band song I can tolerate. Any time any of their other songs come on the radio, I instantly hit the change button.

This is how I feel about Aerosmith. Love "Back in the Saddle," can't stand any of their other songs.

The Stones are my favourite band. They do not suck. Mick's solo career, however, does, with the exception of this featuring the late, great Jeff Beck:

You are probably right, and the 53 year old me is much more mindful of such things. I don't use straws or single-use plastics when avoidable, but the 23 year old me couldn't take another round of Coming of Age.
I laugh because I saw darn Yankees live in the early 1990s, co-headlining with what was left of Bad Company.

Their music was decent, and I was a big enough Styx and Night Ranger fan that I enjoyed hearing Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades do a song or two from those bands. But when Uncle Ted came on, he was already starting his political rants -- at that time about the first Gulf War. Just shut up and play "Stranglehold" already!

Haha, I was just blasting Double Live Gonzo - a great live album from an era full of them - and it has a killer version of Stranglehold

Terrible song from a band you think is great.

I am a mashive travel-wherever-he-is-to-see-him-play fan of Jason Isbell. But his song "Daylight," a deep cut off the last Drive-By Truckers album on which he appeared, was absolutely atrocious in every conceivable way; a bad song, horribly delivered. It was like the rest of the band was at a point where they were so sick of him they just said, "fork it, we'll put the shitty song on the album, and we'll make sure his name is on it." Proof that even the very best miss from time to time.

Easy one for me. Friday I'm In Love by The Cure. I forking hate that song, but I generally dig everything else that band has churned out.

Honorable mentions go to two R.E.M. songs -- Shiny Happy People and Stand. Brutally bad songs.

You don't like holding hands in the place where you are? Heathen.

I think Michael Stipe has said he hates Shiny Happy People.
