Choke on it, AirTran!

Man, I feel lucky. Never had an AirTran flight delayed, never had a problem with my bags on AirTran, never had any sense of chaos at a gate.

Sucks to be you guys. :D

+1 to what IJAG said. AirTran rules, especially compared to USAir, or as some like to call it, Unfortunately Still Allegheny In Reality.

Never had one problem with US Airways. Not one. And its southeastern hub is Charlotte, not Atlanta --- that makes a world of difference.

Now, you want problems? Delta.

Re: Stay away, AirTran

Can't remember the last Delta trip I took where both legs operated on time.

Now Jet Blue? Love Jet Blue.

Re: Stay away, AirTran

As long as we're talking about problems and tardiness, I will NEVER fly United or into/out of O'Hare ever again if I can help it.

I missed three straight connections out of there last season for no good reason, and United's customer service is severely lacking.

Last Delta flight I took ... the initial departure was delayed by three hours. The plane had a ginormous leak in its fuel tank. By "ginormous" I mean "pouring through the hole to the ground when they tried to refuel the plane." Delta's nearest qualified mechanic was over an hour away, assuming he had been on duty at the time. He wasn't.

We ended up taking the last inbound plane of the day (the one that normally sits at the airport overnight) back to Atlanta and I was only ... oh, 90 minutes late for my connecting flight. >:(

Re: Stay away, AirTran

Flew Delta/Comair many times on a Philly-to-Cincy-to-Lexington flight. Never had a problem with them being late/missing the connecting flight. Then again with that Cincy to Lexington flight the running joke is you spend more time taxiing on the runways than you do in the air.

Re: Stay away, AirTran

Ha! I took a Lexington to Cincy flight over the Christmas break. You legitimately never level off. I think they said it was 28 minutes in the air.

Yeah, that's like Chicago to Milwaukee.

And I'd rather deal with TSA than Chicago rush hour.
