Classic albums?

That recently happened to me with Weezer's Pinkerton. Loved every song on that album in my 20s. Tried to listen to it a few months ago, and I kept thinking... why did I ever even own this? It's alternates between creepy songs about ogling and odes to being an incel.

I'm right there with you. That's one of those albums where I just don't listen to the lyrics. Musically it's great. Lyrically it's embarassing.
 
Isn't his embarassment the entire point?

Yeah, but I'm 34 years old and as much as Pink Triangle rocks, it makes me want to curl up in a ball from cringing.

My problem is I now know what those guys who pen those type of lyrics often become as grown men. And it ain't cute. Think men's rights rallies.
