College football week 15 thread: The Low Sparky of High Heeled Boys

If Arizona State can keep the head coach, they are going to be good for a long time in the Big 12.

His energy and style is just magnetic for college players.

He's an Arizona State alum from Phoenix who wants to be there. It's his dream job. He's home.

Might not mean much if somebody waves a contract with eight zeroes in front of him, or they get a new AD he doesn't get along with, or they slip back to a couple of 6-6 seasons in a row, but by all accounts he's pretty invested there and not just looking for the next big payday somewhere else.

I think they got it right with Bama. I also think some people will be stunned with the portal exodus from T-Town over the next 48 hours.

The top-down belief in the Clemson program that they are somehow God's favored is why I hope the Tigers lose every game by 50.

Is an almost-lifelong Methodist, the course of the game pretty much confirms my decision to step away from the church and Christianity in general.

I mean, if God is going to put his finger on the scales and help a public university's football team beat a church school with "Methodist" right there in its name, chances are he's hanging out with some other denomination on Sunday morning.

Iowa vs. Missouri in the Music City Bowl.
Illinois vs. South Carolina in the Citrus Bowl.

Some of these bowl games......I mean, almost all of these bowl games....

It isn't just the number of bowl teams with coaching changes, or the mediocrity of the teams and matchup, or the number of players who will probably be in street clothes if they even make the trip - but yipes. My guess is the "get-in" price for most of these games will be less than $20.

Can you blame him? Duke started as a Methodist college and still has a divinity school.

Texas Tech vs. Arkansas in Liberty Bowl. Renewal of old SWC rivalry and a rare short trip for Hog fans in the delta.

The Alamo Bowl is BYU vs. Colorado. It used to happen a lot back in the 50s and 60s, but other than the playoffs when is the last time a bowl game had two teams from the same conference?
