College football week 7 thread: Ducks Amuck

PFF grades for Vols' offensive line vs. Florida:

Mays 75.8
Davis 63.9 (10 plays)
Lampley 61.6 (10 plays)
Campbell 55.6
Karic 54.8
Spraggins 51.4
Heard 38.3

Point of reference:
  • Elite: 90–100 (UT had 0)
  • All-conference: 85–89 (UT had 0)
  • Starter quality: 70–84 (UT had 1)
  • Backup quality: 60–69 (UT had 2)
  • Replaceable: Under 60 (UT had 3)
This is an offensive line that can lose to just about any team in the top half of FBS.

Best player on defense. Best player on offense.

I saw this at the New Mexico-Air Force game last night. forking brilliant, the loudest the crowd was all night, participating in this madness. I also saw it at Central Michigan last season.

PS: UNM plays at "University Stadium." How old-school is that? Three 50-yardline seats and parking for less than $100 combined. NMSU on Tuesday night, UTEP on Wednesday. In Cruces tonight and it's still 75 and calm at 8:40. Unbelievably nice.

Could you imagine the hysterics that would ensue if they had the gopher singing "Rubber Biscuit?"
That would be pish your pants funny.

The next sports team that embraces "Rubber Biscuit" is going straight to the top. It'll be a Midwestern team like the Brewers or Twins.

The White Sox would be a natural but it won't do them any good.

"Hey, you buggers can sing higher than I can."
