Thanks for sharing. Did not know. Had a stint there that started about the time Jones did. Terrific career. I remember him as a pretty humble guy ... as his quotes in the piece indicate.

I'll tell you this ... you never had to do much with David Jones copy. Couple that with his ability to turn a phrase, and he was the most talented I ever worked alongside.

I didn't get to see much of him in the late years ... he moved from my northern York County neighborhood to Downingtown some 20 years ago, and seldom came to the newsroom after that.
