Denver Post offers buyouts

Yesterday and today are supposed to be the first two days of the downsized Monday and Tuesday editions, Does anyome know how many pages they were?

Hey @Fredrick: I've got some buggy whips and typewriters I need you to sell. Can you come up with some creative ways to entice people to buy those?

Didn't see Tuesday. Monday was 32 pages. 18 in the A section and 14 in the B section.

Have names been published besides the ones we know? Just wondering.

Final buyout list, with years of experience lost to the Post:
Tom Trout, 42 years, 2 months
Claire Martin, 31 years, 9 months
Lori Smith, 30 years, 8 months
Maureen Scance, 29 years, 11 months
Joanne Davidson, 29 years, 8 months
Steve Raabe, 3 days short of 29 years
Allen Daniel, 27 years, 2 months
Vickie Heath, 26 years, 10 months
Tom Kensler, 25 years, 10 months
Electa Draper, 17 years, 4 months
Bryan Moore, 16 years, 6 months
Anthony Cotton, 14 years, 6 months
Susan Clotfelter, 13 years, 9 months
Jeff Domingues, 13 years, 8 months
Lisa Kennedy, 12 years, 3 months
Tara Lutzens, 10 years, 11 months
Mark Jaffe, 10 years, 2 months
Lynn Bartels, 6 years, 5 months
Dean Krakel, 4 years, 6 months

The last two, Bartels and Krakel, had numerous years at the Rocky on top of their time at the Post. Yes, Irv Moss and Paige are still there.

Management came up three short in its target so presentation/design managing editor J. Damon Cain got pink-slipped this morning.

Almost 400 years of institutional knowledge there.
Should be some hefty bonuses in the boardroom, yes?

Damon Cain's office was cleaned out yesterday and the staff was notified last night.

Also, there were 22 buyouts announced last week to the staff. Belief is that 3 we're rescinded. One other staffer quit recently as well, who was not eligible for the buyout.

I need to go look back in the archives on what the number of years of institutional knowledge was in late February 2009.
