Did Dan Rather Invent a Source When He Broke the Death of JFK?

I never read All the President's Men, but I still have a paperback copy of The Palace Guard, which I think is great.
 
No doubt Gary Paul Gates wrote most, if not all, of The Palace Guard, but Gates did get a co-author credit. He and Rather were tight. The latter was a major source for Airtime. Both books are very good, IMHO.

Mine too, LOL, and never found another copy at a sale. My hard-cover copy of Airtime is also in bad shape.
Copies of The New Muckrakers (Len Downie) and The Anderson (Jack) Papers are falling apart but I refuse to toss them.
