Longtime New Orleans journalist and all-around great guy suffered a mashive heart attack while at Saints camp. He happened to have taken his wife this year, and she found him. He's back home now, as Gayle Benson arranged a medevac flight. His wife got Ed's usual byline to update:

Ed died Friday of complications from his cardiac event.
