Far Out Names

Random thought as I caffeine up on a Saturday morning:

What are some strange names? Some strange neuron firing this morning popped up Reality Winner, which then led to my usual eyebrow raise, shrug, and then brief WTAF thought.

(An aside, I do have two eyebrows).

Growing up, the biggest reference I heard was "A Boy Named Sue". That seemed to be a warning not to do this unless you want your kid to toughen up through the school of hard knocks.

There are all kinds of performers' names (so many, I can't keep track and don't bother to).

But, what are some "out there" given names (at birth)?

Moon Unit Zappa
Night Train Veeck
Reality Winner

I know there are some asinine Adolf baby names out there. Let's skip that stuff.

Anyway, might be a fun exercise for those who wish to participate.

Tennis player Storm Hunter
Amon-Ra and Equanimeous St. Brown (there's another brother, too, but his name escapes me)
God Shammgod
Rotunda Morris
Lil'Jordan Humphrey
Fennis Dembo

That's quickly off the top of my head.

There's a guy in "Absolutely American," a book about West Point, named George Rash. His parents named his brother Richard. Upon turning 18, Richard changed his last name to his mom's maiden name.

How can adults be that stupid?

I was watching a Horizon League game last night and someone they alluded to was named "Great." Does he have a brother named "Average?"
