Can Scottie repeat as the odds-on favorite (only three have done so)? Can Rory complete the career grand slam? Return of 12 LIV players.

Looks like morning showers on Friday, otherwise should be good to go.

We've gotten an incredible amount of rain in Georgia over the past 24 hours, with more to come throughout the day. The course may still be a little soggy come Thursday, though I'm sure no place has better drainage than Augusta.

I loved amusing myself - if only myself - by inserting cleverly phrased sentences as a little "easter egg" for attentive readers. There was a storm in town once, causing damage to parks and I mentioned workers "tying yellow ribbons around the old oak trees" for safety.

I wrote one of my favorite headlines ever for the Masters. Vijay had gone out early and posted a low score, but the first round eventually had to be suspended by weather. So my head was:

Singh, and then the rain
Did a feature story last year on a guy who is a Philadelphia area police officer who moonlights as a professional trick shot artist. Publisher texted me and said he was drawing a blank on a headline for it.

I sent back "To Protect and Swerve."

I don't know who my pick is just yet, but I'm confident Scottie isn't winning. Feel free to roast this post Sunday evening.

Not only back-to-back but it would be three in four. I'm not feeling it either. I think a lot of people *want* Rory, but it's just not in the cards there for him, methinks.
