I think what's canonical and not canonical is the work of years, not lists or even mainstream critics. Has a lot to do with what gets taught, and therefore the academy, rather than a popular audience.

I would put Libra higher than maybe everything on this list.

My father, who also graduated law school, told me that after going through school, reading Moby deck would be easier.

Haven't found that to be the case.

Like the large print idea though, will have to try that.

Why?

Here's one thing I have never understood: The rereading of a book you don't like, hoping to get something more the next time. There are more great books out there than you could ever hope to read. Find another.

I don't hold the faults of female characters in Hemingway novels against them because, for the most part, he couldn't write female character for ship.
