Have a look at some great sports photos

Scrolled through fast, but some great ones. Ali has to be at the top of every list, I think at least.

Makes me miss the heyday of the printed Sports Illustrated. I remember usually being blown away by the photography.

If you asked me to guess what state the "football game in front of burning building" photo was taken in, I would have needed 40-plus guesses to arrive at the right answer.

I thought it was a good listing, but, given the tone and impact I could sense was being sought, some glaring absences came to mind for me. Among them:

1). Secretariat in the empty stretch at Belmont in 1973.

2). For that matter, if we're talking horse racing at Belmont: a shot of Affirmed and Alydar, racing together, stride-for-stride, and neck-and-neck, down that same stretch.

3). Something of the terrorist attack from the Munich Mashacre at the 1972 Olympics.

4). Colin Kaepernick taking a stand, or, rather, a knee, on the sideline.

Found the list slightly above average. Great photos, yes, but many missing. And some that left you going, "Meh."
