Bat Sports: The 2025 college baseball/softball thread

The NAIA has a mercy rule. The NCAA needs one.

I thought they did. I've seen some games cut short. Is it a conference by conference thing? Or mutual agreement?
With it being early in the season, once it got out of hand I wonder if the coaches wanted to treat it as a live scrimmage and get some guys further down the bench some at-bats and innings.
 
Only NCAA run rule I know of in baseball is 10 after 7. The coaches can mutually agree to waive it, though. Which appeared to be the case here, although I haven't the foggiest idea why.
 
Blowout city, juco softball edition. Northeast Mississippi beat Coahoma Community College 40-0.
This was game two of a doubleheader. Coahoma did a little better in game one, only losing 26-2.

 
If this was MLB, Nos. 4, 5 and 6 would've gotten a little whisker music after No. 3.

CBB is a great laboratory to observe how the game is played in the wild.
