Played Dickie Dunn in Slap Shot (that's barely mentioned in the obit, but that's what I always think about when I see his name). And outside of that, well, I've seen him in more movies and TV shows than I can count. One of the ultimate "That Guys." The stories coming out seem to favor "Blade Runner" and "Blood Simple."

I saw the news and of course thought Blood Simple.

But I also thought of "Mooooooon Riverrrr."

Will only mean heartbreak for meeeeeeee!!!! (Forgot Chelcie Ross was also in that movie).

The Triple Lindy!!

Honestly, a great actor. One of those people who brings so much to the table in every film he was involved in before he even said a word. Is there an actor with less screen time in films who was in the best part of so many of the films he was in?

He is truly one of Those Guys.

And apparently has a movie coming out, with Craig T Nelson, centered around the Green Bay Packers

He was in Game of Chance, a great movie I know about only because the local PBS station showed it one Saturday night. It had Charles Durning, James Spader, and Mandy Patinkin.

His IMDB has everything from appearances on The Waltons, Bonanza, Serpico, The Jerk, Ordinary People (the swim coach!), Reds, Blade Runner, - he did everything, never seemed to turn down a job. Always held him in such high regard, I'd seem him in some things and wonder - what is he doing in this piece of crap?
