Idiot columnist of the day

My girlfriend got us Cubs/Rockies tickets on Sunday in Denver for our anniversary. Like usual, I am planning on wearing my Cubs jersey and her the Rockies. I am 24 and she's 25 ... will they let us into the stadium?

Wearing a Cubs jersey says, "I've given up on life. Why bother hassling me?" You'll be fine.

I knew people who wore Cubs jerseys to a Pirates game in Pittsburgh. They got piled on pretty hard.

I can see the honchos now:

"That Steigerwald really knocked that one out of the park! He sure knows how to connect with readers. We should give him the coma beat permanent."

Well played, Dooley. Variations on Airplane NEVER get old. :)

WTF was this guy thinking. It'll be two weeks since Opening Day Thursday and he's still in a medically induced coma. Maybe the ceremony before Monday's game in San Fran was on after his bedtime? Does he have any thoughts about sexual assault victims?

Besides, if you're gonna do crumudgeon, learn from the master:

Chet?...Chet Steadman? How did they let Chet Steadman write a column?

You read the first third of the column and it's just a poorly-written, bungling wagging-finger piece.

Then WHAM!, out jumps the crazy.

Maybe someone can ask Stow, if he ever comes out of his coma, why he thought it was a good idea to wear Giants' gear to a Dodgers' home opener

That deserves a Jon Stewart confused look and awkward silence.

"Someone"? Why doesn't forking pornstache sack up and wait by the guy's bedside, so he can be the first one to ask the tough questions, if he feels so strongly about it.

Somehow, some way, there might be a column to be written about adults wearing replica jerseys/uniforms to games.

This isn't the somehow, or the some way.
