It's official: Cheerleading is a sport

I need locker room access now for interviews.

You are third on the waiting list for the peephole. Will you be needing to rent a video camera?

I brought my own, thank you. What adjustments should I make to the white balance?

Seriously though, cheerleading should be considered a sport in most legal cases, right down to exemptions from PE classes, but it will remain a sideshow in the eyes of spectators. It has been said before by much smarter folk than I: Everyone but Sally's mom and the local idjuts can tell the difference.

I think it's a good decision by the court. The cheerleader was suing a 16-year-old male cheerleader for not catching her when she fell.

It seems to me -- at least in this area -- that as cheerleading becomes more and more for tiny gymnasts, that the high school and college dance teams are taking over the spotlight and edging out the cheerleaders.

They are flipping themselves out of business.
Glad it turned out that way. Otherwise, every running back who blew a knee out would be suing the pulling guard for missing his block.

I'll take my spot in the peephole line, but please keep Beulah Ballbreaker away for the evening.

We don't need any allegations of moral turpitude leveled upon us.

Band parents are even worse than cheerleader parents.

You know what band parents call the football game when their kids perform at halftime?

The pregame and postgame shows. ;D

Two words for why athletic activity associations want to represent cheerleading as a "sport."

Title IX.

Three words: Get a clue.

Is "a" a word? I thought it was a letter.

I'll put fitty on the Trojanettes to win, a hunnert on a quinella box with the Lady Tigers, Sea Kittens, that group in pink and the Cougarettes, and what's the over-under on the number of pyramid collapses? Four? I'll put 20 on the under.
