I just saw that the Los Angeles Times where I used to work -- and left, not because I had to but to accept a position in government I was recruited for -- was trending on X.

Here's why.

(How do I get the actual post do show? I clicked on the timestamp and copy link, but all I got was the URL.)

Fixed for you.

When you put in the URL, sub out x.com for twitter.com and it will display

(I put in the space after the dot so you have reference).

And now, more buyouts. And they almost sound sympathetic.

Patrick Soon-Shiong is treating his newspaper like a toy, and that's the problem, because it's not a toy. It's an entity with an important role in society, whose job it is to inform, as best it can and in every way possible -- not only the way the rich owner who has never been a journalist thinks it should be done.

He has a basic lack of respect and understanding of the job, for reporters, and how they should, and usually do, attempt to do their work.

Dr. Drew's gone off the reservation? My late teens/early 20-something self weeps a bit. Loveline was always fantastic watching/listening.
