Here's my pitch to Lolo. Think of it as a hurdle race. You're going to go up and down eight times, it's going to last 12 seconds, NBC is going to film it, millions of people will watch and if you're really good I'll let you climb back up and sing the national anthem a few minutes later while giving you a necklace. Medal. Whatever.

Can someone please explain what the fuss is over Tim Tebow? OK, so the guy won the Heisman and a national championship at Florida. Has had a mixed career in the NFL thus far. I certainly wouldn't put him in the Top 10 of current NFL quarterbacks.
Yet he's getting as much -- if not -- more buzz than Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. IMO, he's not all THAT sexy, the way people talked about Brady a few years ago with his flame (can't remember her name). Why are people so fascinated with him and his love life?

Most guys in his position would have a lineup of girls going around the block and would be living the dream. But because of his beliefs and coming out and saying he was virgin and is waiting for marriage, with the platform he had his social life became part of the Tebow mystique. Probably 20% laud him for his decision, the other 80% are waiting for him to screw up (pun not intended) and are actively trying to dig up dirt on him, to prove him a hypocrite. As a high profile, polarizing athlete, his social life is a lightning rod, that's why it's a big deal.
I personally have never cared who's dating who among celebs/athletes. Let them live their life. There are far bigger issues to worry/care about. Besides, I'm sure my name will never be next to any of their's.

Once you get beyond the commercials and promotions and features and taped material, maybe about 10 percent of the programming is actual live competition.
Which is why I don't go out of my way to watch it, either. It's like eating lobster. Just too much trouble to find what's worth eating.

When the quarterback came into the locker room on Thursday at OTAs, a few teammates busted out into chants of "Lo-lo! Lo-lo!" — a reference to Lolo Jones, the U.S. Olympic hurdler who recently told HBO's "Real Sports" that she doesn't believe in premarital sex, something she has in common with Tebow and prompting some to suggest that the two link up.
Jones even weighed in on the banter, writing on her Twitter page: "Ask Tebow if he wants a glass of milk. If he says yes, ask him if he prefers chocolate. If he says no, then no more Tebow date suggestions."
