Lost: The Final Season (Premieres Feb. 2)

Why do you want to read spoilers? Just let it unfold, this is the final episode in a great eight year run.

Because I do. We've gone over this in this thread plenty of times :)

But enough people don't that they flooded DarkUFO's e-mail begging him and threatening him not to post any finale spoilers he has. Because apparently just not clicking on them was too hard for them. So no finale spoilers :(

Aww, poor Rick will have to wait and actually watch the show. Are you the kind of person that reads the last chapter of the book first?

I would if the book were released one chapter at a time over several years.

BTW, I am giving you a hard time, but to each their own. I hate spoilers, it takes the drama out of a show in my opinion, but if you like spoilers than have at them.

Oh, man, I was laying in bed and just had this realization.

What if everything I said above was true ... except it was Desmond who had to make the choice instead of Jack?

Think about it. He's immune to the properties of the island, he can shift from one timeline to the next ...

A bunch of us have said it seems odd that Jack can "choose" to take over protecting the island. What if he's not the one that's meant to be the new Jacob? What if Desmond is?

I say this because I envisioned all the castaways dying on the island and Desmond going into the lightsource. He then can see both worlds, the on-island world where he must protect the island at all costs and the off-island world where the castaways lived and everything is right.

Here's the kicker. The one thing he cares about the most (Penny) he can't have in the sideways world. Why? Because she's married to JACK!! (Cue dramatic music).

Forgive me if this is just a 5 a.m. rambling of a guy who needs sleep but if this comes true, I will be excited that I hit it on the head, but will be sad we're missing out on the only real romance of this series.

Interesting thoughts.

I think it is obvious that Desmond is getting them to the concert for some sort of awakening. And we know they can't "go back" to the Island in the Sideways world because it is at the bottom of the ocean. My best guess is that by some sort of circumstance the Sideways world and Real world timelines will collide and choosing which way to continue on will be the main choice for either one person (Des or Jack) or maybe all of them have to make the choice. Not sure.

I doubt Penny and Jack are married, I kind of figured his ex-wife is Juliet. But I'm not sure if she is back for the finale.

Anyway, have fun tonight everyone. Enjoy it. I will be checking back in tomorrow morning once I have finished it.

I'm just weird about this stuff. I get that.

I never got into Buffy the Vampire Slayer when it was on the air. After it was over, I was browsing Wikipedia one nigh, stumbled upon it and ended up reading every article on the show. Plot summaries, character bios, the whole shebang.

I still went back and watched every episode and enjoyed them all immensely. Still ranks as one of my favorite shows ever and I rewatch it regularly.

I was spoiled for the Season Three finale, and regretted it greatly. I was spoiled for the first Star Wars prequel, and was glad to not have the theater be the first time I encountered Jar Jar Binks.

schieza: are you sure you're not confusing "Theory" with "Shotgun Guesses"?

Enjoy the show tonight everyone. Thanks to all who kept this thread alive and lively.

Lost reruns on CW today reminded me of something: Whatever happened to Rose and Bernard? Last we saw them, they were living it up on the north side of the island, right?

It was then that Rose capped the perfect line to Kate: "It's always something with you people."

Rose and Bernard were in the audience at Kimmel the other night when Lindelof and Cuse were guests.

They wanted to know: "What about us?"

I guess I figured we had their "end-story" when we were all pretty damned sure they were Adam and Eve. But now that we know they're not...

I want ANSWERS! :P

And while we're at it... Vincent the dog? I'm betting there's a scene around a barbecue pit, and someone tosses a collar into the bone pile.
