Mickelson to boycott Detroit after News article

It is a relevant news article, but I personally would not have ashigned it. And if I were the reporter ashigned to write, I would be none too pleased.

So, I do understand why Mickelson is upset and I do think he has every right to chew out the paper if he so chooses. But boycotting an entire tournament because of it? That's only punishing the fans. That's bush league. He probably wanted an "out" to avoid going to this event in the future, so he conveniently found it.

I presume he announced it a year out so the horse-drawn wagon train he travelled in cross country to get to the difficult to reach Detroit area would know they won't be counting on his business next year. He's kind like that.

If you decide not to come back, why announce it to the world a year out?

Oh, yeah: Because you're an attention wart.
Maybe he got drunk and his mouth wrote a check his ash couldn't cash. Not the first time that's happened on social media.

Phil's gotten so much love from the national media and the golf media over the years he started to believe this "every man" ship that they portrayed him as. But that I don't fault him for.

With the PGA Tour in town, the Detroit News ran a story about how Phil Mickelson was cheated out of $500K several years ago. Well, apparently Lefty wasn't thrilled and will now boycott the Detroit tour stop.

The question for me here: Is Mickelson overreacting or should the News not have ran the story?

Multiple-time major winner found getting worked over financially by mob connections in court filings … that's newsworthy enough.

What's the difference between Phil Mickelson and his wife? With his wife, the boobs are fake but the personality is real.
