IIRC from my youth, both the Seals and the Warriors in the late 60s and early 70s were hoping for an arena in San Francisco. The Warriors basically had three home courts - Oakland Coliseum Arena, San Francisco Civic Center and the Cow Palace - before settling down in Oakland.Unfortunately he merely dented it.
