Moving to D.C.

Ha, that's absolutely the case. I'm sure it's like that anywhere in this country, but it undoubtedly true here.

There's no working class white neighborhood in D.C. Can't think of another U.S. city where that's the case.

The racial divisions there are abhorrent.

True story.

Yeah, and they still get re-elected.

I don't have any openings.

My kid lives in Falls Church, right on the Orange Line. Into DC in 20 minutes, prices are reasonable where he is and there's lots to do there. When I settle into a permanent spot, that may be it. Or I may just stay on the river where I am now and pretend I'm not in a big city.

My in-laws are in Bethesda, a great place.....if you've got a family. Well actually, downtown is not too bad, but looks like its more for the high schoolers than college crowd.

Rockville? Whoa, that's way out there. Given the choice I think I'd go more towards Adams-Morgan or somewhere in Georgetown area (now, there's no Metro stop there, deliberately done that way.)

Those of you who live in DC or the DC area, what's it like mingling with a bunch of our employees?
