NFL Week 1 thread -- Where we learn the meaning of Vão pássaros

It’s a long season and while Rodgers wasn’t great, he wasn’t all that bad. He hasn’t played in nearly two years. As someone said before, R-E-L-A-X.

Rodgers is fine. Rodgers will be fine for the most part. The Jets will likely be favored to win their next four games heading into MNF against the Bills.

The problem is Rodgers doesn't want to be coached anymore. So he has his make-a-wish buddy be the OC, so he doesn't have to listen to him. Now he shouldn't listen to him because Nate Hackett is a fucking idiot, but no one else on the team respects the clown either. So when the offense is as bad as it was for three quarters against SF there's nowhere to go because if Aaron isn't making the adjustments they aren't getting made. This is why Saleh tried to hire someone as an offensive consultant to sit in the booth, presumably so he could fire Hackett during the season (which he might anyway), but that hire didn't happen for whatever reason.

This is away from the Hill stuff, but about an hour ago, I heard Pat McAfee for the first time. I never watched his youtube show, his espn show, and I don't watch game day. He always has clips on espn.com, usually with Silent Bob in a screen next to him, and I have never clicked. But he talked about Bryce Young sucking, and I love schaudenfreude, so I clicked on.

I had no idea his voice was so gravelly.

He also talked about tickets going for $1.80 for a pair for the Panthers' home opener. The graphic showed maybe a tweet of someone paying that... except the tickets were for a Panthers-Falcons game.
The Panthers play the Chargers in their home opener.
I am guessing that facts aren't a priority on that show.

Rodgers is basically at stage where he thinks he knows everything and could basically have Patricia as his OC.

But they didn't pass a lot. Seemed like the team was protecting him. Might just getting back up to speed.
I know no one cares about my fantasy team but I would have won my first game ever had Rogers just completed one more pass to Garrett Wilson.

Ha! I won one of mine when Breece Hall ran for 16 yards in garbage time!

I was doomed when the Jets got that meaningless sack at the end of the game.

Stole a win from my commissioner and former sports guy because Jake Moody scored 22 points (six FGs, two XPs and two bonus points for +50), while George Kittle had a rather pedestrian 6. Which was only fair because I got hosed by Amon-Ra on Sunday night, but it still feels like winning on the fantasy equivalent of a net cord.
