NFL Week 8 -- Primetime blues

The Rams engaged in some addition by subtraction today, cutting kicker Brett Maher. He missed two field goals and an extra point in a game they lost by seven to the Steelers. His last field goal attempt wasn't even close.

If there was only some way for the Rams to have known that Maher can completely break down mentally during a game. Like if there were actually some game in his past that reflected this.

For some reason the NFL believes the Las Vegas Raiders are a significant draw? Three primetime games in eight weeks for a decidedly mediocre team. I don't get it. Also, Sunday night might be a good night to catch up on that series you've been wanting to binge.

I think they want a national audience to also question why teams got into a bidding war over Josh McDaniels.

Saints wide receiver Chris Olave was arrested for reckless driving after going 70 mph in a 35 mph zone in the New Orleans suburb of Kenner.

Saints WR Chris Olave drove more than double speed limit, according to bodycam video

At one point during his arrest, Olave let the officer know he played for the Saints, to which the officer responded, "And?"

Irsay: NFL 'admits' 2 incorrect calls in Colts' loss

I finally saw the two penalties called against the Colts at the end of that game. The interference isn't quite as bad as I thought, but it was really bad. The illegal contact wiping out the strip sack was worse. Cooper was initiating contact and pushed the guy down.

Didn't they already try replay on penalties and it was a disaster?

Also, it seems like Irsay broke a rule, but let's see if the NFL will actually hold an owner accountable.
