Since soccer was named, I'll choose tennis. I kind of remember him being involved in World Championship Tennis and/or World Team Tennis.

I had a hunch on the third one (mainly because he was one of only four Angels Hall of Famers I could think of) and looked him up, so it's only kinda-sorta cheating.
It's Reggie Jackson. Played the first month of the 1982 season at age 35, then turned 36 that May.
