Online subscriptions

Well, heck. Texas Monthly is $25 for a print and online subscription, so I subscribed. Their website has a ton of interesting stories. I wish I was good enough to work there.
The restaurant reviews and capsules alone make it worth my while. I've ate at a dozen places they've mentioned, between the Houston, San Antonio and Dallas areas - all good to great.

Speaking of the Dallas Morning News...I just canceled my online sub there. I was working on something when I signed up in September for a three-month deal for $1 or something that was due to renew at the monthly rate of $19.99 or so (might have been $19.94, that number sticks out there). Couldn't cancel online and the first few attempts at saying "cancel my subscription" reset the automated menu, so I mashed the 0 button until I got an operator. She was very nice and offered me a deal at $3.49/week. I said thanks but I really only needed it for baseball season so I might return once the season starts. She was so nice that I made sure to say I wasn't canceling b/c of the product...I always figure they get some MAGA morons screeching in their ear when they cancel. Then again, MAGAs don't read newspapers, do they? ANYWAY, this was easier than I thought once I talked to a human.
