Osaka on French Open interviews: No comment

Yeah, it's highly doubtful she had her come to Jesus/don't talk to sportswriters moment in the time frame in between the SI shoot and the French Open boycott. She just wants attention on her terms, in increasingly dramatic style. Which, great. That's the way it's going to be going forward for a lot of stars. Can still point out how foolish she's acting.

Precisely my point. If she didn't want attention, she and her team could easily have asked out of whatever SI was planning. Bought the ticket, take the ride, etc.

Those photos were shot about five months ago, before any of the controversy. You, Meghan Kelly and Clay Travis should try to do better.

You're entitled to your opinion, and you're entitled to disagree. But don't EVER put me in anything with Megyn Kelly and Clay Travis. Ever.

I'm not sparring with anyone, BYH. I responded. If he doesn't like it, too bad.

(And the next thing you know, the Mets will win the World Series.)

A commercial during the NBA. Championship mentioned respecting athletes' mental health. I'm afraid I wasn't paying close attention and didn't catch whose ad it was. I think that it was showing vignettes of what the future might be.

It was a Nike commercial, and it was god-awful.
Besides the bit you mentioned, it showed a bunch of guys playing pick-up basketball while wearing WNBA jerseys with the voice over, "One day, the WNBA will be more popular than the NBA."

It was pretty scattershot, but I took a little bit of notice because, once the suits in marketing have reached into their wallets to shine a spotlight on a cause, it isn't long before we become taskmasters of their wokeness.

If all the men on Earth suddenly died, the NBA would still be more popular than the WNBA.

Haha if this was a vintage SJ.com feud I would have challenged Poindexter to meet me at Penn Station.

Someone actually challenged me to an in-person fight earlier this year!

Also, Osaka doesn't owe me, you or anyone else anything. Even if her anxiety reason isn't legit, she could say "Because suck my deck" and it would be enough. Don't like it? Don't write about or cover her. Somehow, she'll survive. And if you're NBC or ESPN, it's really not possible to not cover her.
