President Trump 2.0: The NEW one and only politics thread

In a post-Trump world, if we ever get one - how many laws do you think Congress will need to pass to ensure no future President follows Trump's lead? Its amazing 45 Presidents were decent enough people they didn't dare think of monetizing and weaponizing, let alone downsizing federal institutions, without regard to existing laws or political norms.

Would a new slate of laws matter? Trump's SCOTUS has already ruled that the president can do anything he wants as long as the action is in the scope of his official duties. The only remedy is impeachment and removal. Right?

Maybe it will take a Dem to try half the stuff Trump has done, then the Roberts Court will go against their own precedent. The stuff we're seeing I'm sure is only the half of it. Like an iceberg, we only see the most evident part. I'm fairly certain the Federalist Society has been "advising" various judges along the way, in one way or another.
