President Trump 2.0: The NEW one and only politics thread

I realize that when Trump officials speak, they are speaking to an audience of one. Trump. But I sincerely hope they aren't under the impression that anyone else is buying their lies and BS. Going to be fun if/when the Dems take the House back next year.
The Dems need a wartime consigliore for that to happen. Could be democracy's last stand.

If only the McDonald's courier had access to ricin and the courage to do the right thing.

It's like they're going out of the way to create an international incident.

I get that this was a really stupid thing to have done/had happen. But I'm annoyed that THIS is something that seems to have finally woken Congress up to what is going on., after everything else that has already happened/been done previously that was actually against America, the American people, and/or their allies.

After all, sure, the information was shared with a journalist. But you know what? Luckily for the Trump administration, this was a journalist with actual professional integrity, which, frankly, minimizes the problems that might've been involved with such an occurrence. Goldberg let it be known that his inclusion had mistakenly occurred; he didn't tell details or specifics of what the information was; he has made it so that he will, clearly, not be given such an opportunity for insider information again; and, he didn't use the information against any person, or any country.

As opposed to the Trump administration members, who have had NO integrity whatsoever, in anything that they've done in the past three months.

Democrats demand full text of Signal chat, want Hegseth and Waltz to resign

As an old timer who is now back as a newcomer, some general thoughts:
1. We are so f*cked>
2. Our democracy is on life support.
3. Plans of an attack are shared on a Signal chat that included a journalist from The Atlantic. Using a public chat to post and discuss war plans normally would be a firing offense. Normal left town and didn't provide a forwarding address.
4. WaPo reports Social Security services are on the verge of breaking down. Gee, it was working fine as of last November. This is exactly the plan: "See, Social Security is worthless, its platforms are out of date, it needs privatization."
5. Trump and his sycophants lie, cheat and steal. It's what they do. And who's gonna stop them? It's like Wyatt Earp at the train station in Tombstone showing Ike Clanton is U.S. Marshall badge and saying, "It's legal. I see a cowboy with a red sash, I kill him." We're the cowboys wearing red sashes.

Was listening to Hannity today. He's giving away a Tesla on his show. Throw in being on the brink of war with Denmark over Greenland and I think we have safely entered the Upside Down. BizarroAmerica.

Back slowly away from the radio … slowly, slowly … now pick up that softball bat and bash the fork out of the radio.

Play music instead. I prescribe Marley.
