Random Thoughts the Third

I always find it weird to jump forward while watching POV porn.

Point Of View Porn? Where all do they put the cameras?

I'd be Pished if I accidentally paid for the foot fetish channel.

The lack of basic computer knowledge among people in this biz irks the shizznit out of me.

I wonder what toilet paper thinks about the average ship?

Does toilet paper dread cleaning up someone's ash?

Or, in a sort of pride of work/ownership way, does the toilet paper look forward to a particularly messy ship as part of a personal and professional challenge?

While you spare a square, spare a thought. Toilet paper gets one shot in its life to do what it was made to do. Just one. Given that, I would think it might choose the latter scenario.

I liken it to Woody Allen's portrayal of sperm in Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Sex But Where Afraid To Ask. He was afraid he'd end up in a condom or Kleenex. He wanted to make his one shot count.

When you think about it, "Come Sail Away" is the perfect song. Slow start, rise, rise, rise, bridge, fall, reprise, coda.

ship's like Beethoven 1977.

do you think people who work in the movie industry ever get Bill Paxton and Bill Pullman confused? Has there been some director or casting director who ever said "You know who we should get to play the president in Independence Day, that Bill Pullman guy. I loved him in Apollo 13." And why has there never been a Paxton/Pullman stunt casting?

True story - back when Gene Autry owned the Angels he told his GM that he really liked that outfielder from Boston and that the GM should sign him for the Angels. Autry never said the outfielder by name so the GM signed Rick Miller who was a free agent. Only after the signing did the GM learn that Autry was talking about Dwight Evans (who was not a free agent at the time so you can excuse the GM for being confused).

Anyway - your question made me think of that story.

And that made me think of a story ... when my brother-in-law was born, the nurse asked his mom what his name was and she said, "Javier." But the nurse thought she said Gabriel. Since Gabriel was an archangel, his mom decided she better stick with that for the name.

When I was little, I thought friends and family who had houses with their toilet seats covered in carpet were millionaires. Just something about that seemed exotic to me.

Saw those carpet covers at KMart today. Still thought they were only for the most regal of customers.
