Roe v. Wade to be overturned?

Wonder if GOP leaked it as a false flag so McConnell and the Q's could rage "the leak!!1!!!" with as much furor as pro-choicers raging against overturning Roe.

Not to go all conspiracy theory, but I think one of the five justices signing onto this opinion might have leaked it. It came out last night that Roberts isn't in favor of full repeal of Roe, so he's likely lobbying and campaigning to get one or two justices to flip. So Alito or one of his comrades leaks it - with names attached - to pressure them into staying attached to it.

Or Ginni Thomas shared it without some of her fellow whackjobs.

Guess it wasn't Roberts:

Figuring out who leaked this will become a Washington parlor game for the next 40 years. My best guess is Alito himself. He's a calculating SOB and letting it leak does two things - gives a bit of a runway before the decision actually comes down to prepare people for it and it shifts part of the conversation for the spin doctors to the sanctity of the court's secrecy traditions.

Kavanaugh isn't smart enough to do that. Roberts wouldn't. Thomas DGAF. As the most junior justice, it's hard to see ACB doing it. There's no incentive for Sotomayor, Breyer or Kagan to leak it because when it gets traced back to them it will take the sting out of whatever dissent they're preparing - and they are preparing it with the anticipation that in 10-25 years their dissent will become the majority opinion on this issue again. The only other candidate is Gorsuch. Between Gorsuch and Alito, my money is on Alito.

And I'm starting from the presumption that it had to be one of the justices as any clerk who leaked an opinion would be destroying their own legal career right as they're about to come out of the gate with a golden ticket.

I have no idea, but if you are pregnant in Texas and the only way to get the procedure done is to travel to another state, that single initial barrier screens out a lot of low income families. If you throw in added obstacles like laws that say you have to meet with the clinic staff three times first or other such tactics, the barrier grows higher.

The odds are that women with money have better access to medical care in general, better access to birth control, and in general are more able to do what they want than the poors. The fifteen year old daughter of Muffy and Chad who goes to elite private school will have more and better options than the fifteen year old daughter of a single mother who works at a dry cleaners.
My point exactly.

Plus, Alito was born in Trenton.

Total Trenton political maneuver.

Doesn't matter. For decades we've let the loud minority of stringent anti-abortionists steer the conversation. They have won battle after battle after battle we've all set around and said oh it's okay they're not going to overturn Roe. For the last 20 years it's been pretty apparent that they are going to overturn Roe at the first chance they get. This is the chance. Every single person in America could be opposed to outlawing abortion except for the 10 people loudest about it, and those 10 people are still going to win. They have won the messaging. Just like the South won the piece. The people who are in support of our rights and who are in support of diversity and equal rights, always lose because we sit there and let these f****** take control.
