Running 2017 MLB regular season thread

The Eagles haven't beaten the 49ers (Insert AFC team here) at home since 2008. (they come out to philly every 8 years)

Fixed.
The Eagles and 49ers, as NFC teams, play a lot more often than that. They've played in Philly four times since 2003, including twice since 2009.
But the point stands, and it's one of my pet peeves too.
Some of the worst offenders I see are in college sports. I remember they made a big deal of LSU beating Tennessee in Knoxville in 2006, since it was the first time since 1988. Well, the SEC split into divisions in 1992 and because of the way the league rotated non-division opponents they only played in Knoxville twice between 1988 and 2006.
I also see it a lot in college baseball notes, where the SIDs mention it's a team's first grand slam since May 12, 2016. A whole half-season. Wow.
The "since" stat is one of the most overblown in all of sports.
