Running 2017 MLB regular season thread

Not a big fan of Showalter's managing, including two nights ago when he put the go-ahead run on intentionally in the ninth inning.

If ever the Cubs needed a night off, it was yesterday, heading into St. Louis tonight.

Damn, this might actually get me to games.

A's unveil monthly ballpark pass under $20
In the one year I lived in Oakland, 1973, when the A's were defending world champs, Monday was half-price night. Not just tickets, concessions and parking too. A bleacher seat was $2 bucks usually, so a $1 entry fee got you access to cheap beer, cheap dogs, and the opportunity to watch a really good baseball team while getting sloshed at prices anyone who wasn't homeless could afford. Met a lot of very interesting if cheap people out there in those games.
