With Rahm booted from the Tour, Mackenzie Hughes moves from No. 51 to 50 in FedEx points and is now in all the signature events next year. With many of them being no-cut, that's a nice little bag to get in exchange for seeing your Tour weakened.

I read somewhere, can't remember where, that Wells Fargo was willing to remain a sponsor, but not at the price the Tour was asking.

Sports Biz Journal, I think. Wells Fargo didn't want to ante up for $25 million but offered something like $20 million and the Tour said no. One would think now wouldn't be the time for the Tour to play hardball like that, but I guess we'll find out.

Does the Tour have pressure to raise revenue with all the payments to players started in the last few years?

Wasn't part of the original PGA/LIV battle that the PGA was sitting on a pot of money it wasn't distributing to players?

I'm just asking questions.
