So I just went thru the airport scanner without my belt. I've lost 10 pounds since the diabetes diagnosis. My shorts are way loose now. I raise my arms so they can pat me down. My shorts fall to my ankles. Hilarity ensues. I'm sure I'll be on America's Funniest Airport Videos soon. Good thing my drawers are clean.

I always wear an Arcade belt like this one -- Foundation (Heather Grey) | Arcade Belts -- when I travel (and much of the rest of the time because they're very comfy) because there's no metal and I don't need to take it off. Well, typically I don't. Some TSA folks can't seem to process that not all belts include metal.

Better than them finding a giant double duffle in your carry-on, I suppose.

I've lost 20+ pounds since mid-July, and that, combined with my longtime battle with noacetol*, would make me awfully leery of going beltless in any public setting.

*Sound it out

Sorry to hear you aren't getting any. I figured you were married.
