Running Stanley Cup Playoff Thread

This is incited by the 5 p.m. game start. It's 8 p.m., not even dark at the end of the game and plenty of drinking time left to fuel a long night.

I thought this as well. On the East Coast, there is sort of a time limit on these riot situations, since even gawkers are going to go home by 2, 3 a.m. It's been going on for hours now, and it's still only midnight.

Brilliant. Identify these assholes, and after slamming their heads into the bars, drop them in a cell to rot.

And to think there had been great debate about liquor stores closing early for Game 7, just as they did through parts of the Olympics.

It depresses me greatly whenever Canadians act like idiots. I still expect them to be better than us when it comes to things like manners and, you know, riots.

Kind of neat how the team's various color schemes of the last 20 years are all represented. Top it off with the flag of the nation, and you've got yourself a lot of Vancouver pride.

I wonder how many cities that are prone to this type of thing deep down would just as soon their pro and major college teams not even come close to any kind of championship, win or lose apparently.

Stay classy Canada. We would expect nothing less. Sounds like Canuckistan needs a fire czar.

Police blame Roberto Luongo for the riots. He couldn't stop them either. Meanwhile, no Canadian team has won the Cup since Don Cherry was in his early 90s.

Vancouver does not deserve an NHL team. They should move the Canucks to Hamilton or something like that. Or Edmonton...I hear they need an NHL team.
