(Some members of the) Miami Herald sports staff call in (sorta) sick (maybe)

Re: Miami Herald sports staff calls in sick

Possible explanations:

1. Protesting the Girardi firing.
2. Just found out they're not getting Heat championship rings.
3. Thought the Wainaru-Fada rally was today.

Re: Miami Herald sports staff calls in sick

I am beyond stunned that yet again, there was no coordinated effort to show displeasure inside a newsroom.

Re: Miami Herald sports staff calls in sick

Maybe they heard LeBatard was planning on writing another Ricky Williams column.

Re: Miami Herald sports staff calls in sick

It was a message to management, from what I've heard. Poor leaders there, and a newsroom in disarray, and Sports keeps getting the shaft, so some of them guys decided to band up and call in sick.

Sports desk at the Herald always gets shafted.............Always.

Re: Miami Herald sports staff calls in sick

I think they called in scared.

"I'm afraid I can't make it into to work today."

Re: Miami Herald sports staff calls in sick

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw three Herald sports copy editors pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

That's transposed.

I remember the correct order of Fainaru-Wada by recalling that his initials MFW also stand for Bonds' pet name for him, Mother forking Whitey. And his partner, Lying Whitey.
