Sopranos Prequel trailer— Anyone else fired up?

I am, of course, 200% in. I will say that what seems to be a Tony origin story seems a little disappointing as compared to a story more about the Mafia in Newark during the late 60s.

Absolutely all-in. Extremely well-done trailer with Gandolifini's voice to start and the theme at the end. Almost didn't recognize Vera Farminga. And gotta love Liotta.

Never seen Gandolfini's kid in anything so hopefully he can carry the role.

I dunno, I thought it felt flat. The world has moved on from the derivative bullship that is aging David Chase.

The trailer makes it look like the whole movie is (mainly) about Tony and his relationship with Uncle deckie. I suspect in the end that won't really be the major storyline.

I'm all in.
I was 100% with the Sopranos, but for some reason, I am drawing a blank on deckie. Yeah, that was Christopher's dad, but what happened to Johnny Boy and Uncle Junior running north Jersey?

They alluded to the fact that Christopher had such a special place in the family due to Tony's relationship with his his father (I think Carmella was related to them and not Tony). And there was an episode where Tony had Christopher kill the now retired cop who Tony said had killed deckie, but the whole backstory was murky.

I remember the episode where Christopher killed the cop, and that sounds right about Carmella being related, not Tony, so therefore, deckie wouldn't have been Tony's uncle at the time of the new movie.
